Since 2004, Michael, Maria, their children Katharina, Rafael and Samuel and his parents have been running the traditional brown cattle farm. Our farm specialises in dairy farming and is located in the beautiful Schlinig-valley at a sea level of 1725 metres. We farm around 20 hectares of meadows, some of which still have to be worked by hand. We have around 50 head of cattle in our barn, of which around 25 are dairy cows and the rest are young cattle. The young cattle and some of the cows spend the summer on the mountain pasture. Other animals on our farm: 2 mini ponies, cats, chickens, dwarf rabbits, guinea pigs and ducks. We combine sustainable farming with a family atmosphere - a place where nature and love of animals take centre stage. Visit us and experience real country life up close!
A holiday on a farm is an unforgettable adventure for children! Here they can experience nature up close and get to know lots of animal friends:
Petting cats, rabbits and calves, feeding cows, going for walks with the ponies, collecting eggs and looking over the farmers' shoulders as they go about their daily work. Let yourself be inspired by rural life. A holiday at the Zangerlehof farm is an experience! While the little ones enthusiastically explore the animal world, you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the farm and relax. Our playground or our playroom with various play options provide even more fun - perfect for an eventful and relaxing family holiday!

After an active day in the mountains or on cool evenings, our modern infrared sauna invites you to warm up and unwind. The pleasant deep heat relaxes the muscles, enhances your well-being and offers you a little piece of wellness right on the farm.
We offer our own house activities at the request of our guests. These can be, for example, a joint hike, a tour of the farm, a barbecue evening, cooking traditional dishes with Grandma Regina or an afternoon of handicrafts with children.
Of course, you can also use our cosy lounge, our small library and the children's playroom with a wide range of play and craft equipment.
If the weather doesn't play along as we would like it to, we are happy to sit down in the lounge for a chat and a glass of wine.
Our guests are welcome to help themselves to the fresh herbs in our herb corner. Lettuce, radishes, onions, carrots, courgettes and much more grow in our raised beds... Please bear in mind that we are at an altitude of 1700 metres above sea level and at this altitude vegetables grow slowly and not all types of vegetables thrive.
